Amanda came by her love of the oilfield honestly. Growing up ‘helping’ in her father’s East Texas Law Firm, Coghlan, Crowson, Robertson, & Ylitalo (now Coghlan Crowson), Amanda heard, firsthand, the behind-the-scenes on oil & gas transactions and disputes of all sorts. After graduating Cum Laude from Texas A&M with a BA and Cum Laude from SMU Dedman School of Law with a J.D., Amanda has continued her growth in the oil and gas industry by working in-house Land and Compliance, General Counsel, and as a consultant for operators, non-op investors, service companies, and mineral owners in multiple states. She is licensed to practice in both Louisiana and Texas in law and has successfully tested nationally and in multiple states in commercial construction. Additionally, she finds the time to teach the occasional class on Oil and Gas Law for the UNT Law School or LSAT, 1st year law school survival, or Bar prep sessions for law students. She is known in the Dallas community for her volunteerism, having served for over a decade on the Board of the Legal Hospice of Texas, a non-profit law firm and providing pro-bono assistance to local churches and non-profits on management of their minerals. She shares Lee Caple’s passion for providing excellent service and advice to mineral owners.
